The Milford Township Comprehensive Plan

In 2011 and 2012 Milford Township Trustees, with Citizen input, came together and decided on a “Comprehensive Plan” regarding how they want their land to be used and allotted for, for all future endeavors. Their overall goal is to preserve the strong rural character of the community.

To achieve this goal, Milford Township members detailed in their comprehensive plan how they intended to:
  • Promote limited growth
  • Conserve environmental resources
  • Preserve agriculture,
  • Promote appropriate residential land use patterns
  • Protect individual property rights
  • Provide infrastructure appropriate for a rural low-density community

This Milford Township Comprehensive Plan seeks to ensure the sustainability of the community’s strong values, placed on the importance of agricultural integrity and community support. Within the plan is information about Milford Township and current zoning ordinances, along with population information.
