The Milford Township Roads Department consists of three full-time employees and several part-time employees who assist in seasonal duties.
Roads in Milford Township are maintained by different agencies. The Milford Township Road Department is responsible for maintaining 31 miles of roads and residential streets. The department ensures that road signs and traffic control signs on roadways are properly displayed and are in working order. The department also conducts roadside mowing, township property mowing (including parks and cemeteries), repair and cleaning, cemetery maintenance, and snow removal. The department has a heavy dump truck, a medium dump truck, a 4-wheel drive pick-up, a backhoe, and mowing equipment. Ensuring safe driving conditions for our residents, school buses, and emergency vehicles is our top priority. During nighttime hours, the Township and Butler County Road Departments rely on the BUtler County Sheriff's Office to alert us to the onset of snowfall or icing conditions. We deeply value this partnership and the vital service provided by the Sheriff's office. . Your patience during snow or ice events is greatly appreciated. Maintaining 31 miles of road becomes a significant task, especially when factoring in cul-de-sacs, dead-end streets, and the necessity of plowing both sides of the road. Our Road and Maintenance Department consistently excels in their efforts to keep our roads safe and functional. Your feedback is always welcomed, as it helps us address any issues quickly and effectively. |
