AboutFounded in 1805, Milford Township (pop. ~ 3,500) encompasses a little over 36 square miles and includes the communities of Collinsville, Darrtown, and Somerville.
Milford Township is dedicated to providing a safe and beautiful place to live for citizens of all ages. The many parks and recreational facilities offer opportunities for community engagement. Residents take pride in being stewards of the land and in fostering the community's well-being. Together, Milford Township citizens uphold the values of hospitality, family, community, and of agricultural traditions that define the spirit of our township. The Township is administered by three elected township trustees and an elected fiscal officer with a maintenance crew; led by the road supervisor, and the volunteer Milford Township Fire Department which is led by the fire chief and fire officers. This local level of government and volunteer service enables the community to stay closely connected to the needs and aspirations of residents. Township meetings are the first Tuesday of every month at 7pm at the Community Center, meetings are open to the public. |
